23-year old Mali forward Aliou Diarra (200-F-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked APR Basketball Club Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds, while his team edged out Thunder (#4, 1-5) 77-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. APR maintains the 2nd position in Basketball Africa League . APR is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. In the team's last game Diarra had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be APR's top player in his first season with the team. Diarra has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 18.8ppg) and averages solid 5.3bpg and 65.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Teafale Lenard Jr. (203-F-2002) of MBB Blue Soldiers. He is American forward in his first season at MBB. In the last game Lenard Jr. recorded an impressive 39 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Blue Soldiers lost that game 76-85 to slightly lower-ranked Thunder (#4, 1-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. MBB still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Lenard Jr. is one of the most experienced players at MBB and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.7ppg (#2). He also registered 7.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another MBB's star - guard Jovan Mooring (188-G-1994). Mooring showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of MBB Blue Soldiers, helping his team with a 94-88 win against #2 ranked APR. The chances of Blue Soldiers not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mooring could try to bring MBB' a little bit higher in the standings. Mooring has individually a great season in Basketball Africa League. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (5th best). Mooring attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
